Billings Symphony Chorale's Winter Auditions Scheduled

Are you a talented vocalist looking for opportunities to share your gifts with a broader audience? Then, you'll definitely want to schedule an audition time with Billings Symphony Chorale. Auditions are scheduled for:
- Monday, January 10, 2022
- Monday, January 17, 2022
Auditions are by advance reservation only and will run from approximately 5:50-6:30pm. Ten-minute time slots will be scheduled in reverse order on a first-come basis. Vocalists must be ages 15 and older to audition.

- Each person should bring a solo to perform (classical, Broadway, opera, etc.)
- Be prepared to sight-read a choral piece
- An accompanist will be provided (please bring 2 copies of the solo vocal material)
The Billings Symphony Chorale is directed by Dr. Steven Hart who is in his 15th season with BSOC. Additionally, Dr. Hart is a music professor at Rocky Mountain College where he conducts the RMC choral ensembles and teaches conducting, vocal pedagogy, and private voice lessons. Rounding out his musical endeavors, Dr. Hart maintains an active schedule as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator.
Looking ahead in the season to April, the Chorale will join the Billings Symphony, along with four guest vocalists, on the newly renovated stage at Alberta Bair Theater for Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. No strangers to challenging vocal work, earlier this season, the Chorale performed works by Bach, Mozart, and Dan Forrest at November's "Balance" concert at the St. Patrick Co-Cathedral.
