  • TUESDAYS, 3-4PM |  Ages 11-14. Reading Rocks is partnering up with the Billings Public Library to host a book club especially for middle schoolers. We'll talk about books that tweens love, make colorful art journals, eat snacks, and leave with a new book to read with each visit. From graphic novels to fantasy series, we'll share our fandoms and love of books! Free and all materials provided.
EVENING OPTION:
  • THURSDAY EVENINGS | South Park 5:15-6pm

Every day is a new adventure at Reading Rocks! Expect fun reading activities, guest storytellers, and free books! Yep, you read that right, kiddos will take home a free book every day.

Come grab lunch (all children ages 18 and under eat free) and read a book. Reading during the summer is critical to your child’s success in school!

GET INVOLVED:
  • Volunteer as a storyteller that reads a short book. The storyteller may also offer an activity for the children that relates to your organization in a fun and interesting way.
  • Volunteer to talk about topics of interest (e.g. a fireman talks about fire safety, a bicyclist discusses rules of the road and bicycle parts, an artist describes how he/she makes a sculpture, etc.).
  • Volunteer to assist in distributing books at Reading Rocks locations and times.
  • Donate recent (less than 5 years old), gently used or new books to be distributed throughout the program. Interested people may drop books off at the Lincoln Center front desk.
