After years of thoughtful planning, Kibler & Kirch is excited to open the doors of its new store in downtown Billings. Located at 2807 1st Avenue North, this grand opening will unveil a beautifully renovated space combining history and modern design. Behind the doors to its quaint, unassuming storefront, the new Kibler & Kirch spans a vast 14,000 square feet, showcasing an exceptional collection of furniture, rugs, lighting, art, and accessories that cater to every home or space looking for a unique touch.
Yesterday’s Craftsmanship with Today’s Vision
Kibler & Kirch has played a central role in Montana’s design scene for over three decades. Established in 1990 in Red Lodge, the store quickly gained a reputation for its high-quality home furnishings and exceptional design services. It became a go-to spot for creating interiors reflecting personal style and a sense of place. With the opening of their new store in Billings, Kibler & Kirch is set to build on that legacy, reaching a wider audience while maintaining its long-standing values.
At the helm since 2010, Jeremiah Young has been the driving force behind the transformation. His approach to the new store is closely tied to the history of the building itself. "We’ve been working on this store for years, and we wanted to make it truly special," Young explains. "We found the original architectural plans from 1904, created by J.G. Link, a key figure behind many of Montana’s landmark buildings. We used those plans to restore the space, recreating details like the original trim and even replicating the staircase exactly as it was in 1904."
The renovation honors the building’s past and introduces modern elements that meet today’s design needs. Large windows flood the space with natural light, showcasing thoughtfully arranged furniture, lighting, and decor displays. Adding an elevator capable of transporting large pieces of furniture ensures that customers can easily visualize how these items will fit into their homes.
Bringing Inspiration Home: Fine Art for Every Space
Kibler & Kirch has earned a reputation for its dedication to quality craftsmanship for years. The new store continues that tradition, offering a carefully curated selection of timeless furniture, unique accessories, and more. "We want people to feel like they’re taking a piece of Kibler & Kirch home with them," says Jeremiah Young. "Whether it’s a beautifully made chair or a pair of lamps, we hope everyone who visits finds something that resonates with them."
A highlight of the new store is the debut of Kibler & Kirch Fine Art (KKFA), a reimagined version of the former Stapleton Gallery. Set to open on December 1st, in time for the Billings Holiday Stroll and Downtown Art Walk, KKFA will feature a thoughtfully curated collection of original works. The gallery will showcase pieces chosen to enhance interiors, reflecting the company’s belief that art plays a key role in creating beautiful, meaningful spaces. The diverse selection will include works from regional and national artists catering to various tastes.
“We’ve always believed that great art should be part of great spaces,” says Young. "Through KKFA, we’re offering a place where people can discover pieces that inspire them, whether they’re looking for a single work or building a collection."
The Kibler & Kirch Experience
The opening of the new store is a testament to Kibler & Kirch’s commitment to providing its clients with the highest tier of service. While the store showcases a wide range of products, it’s also a space for inspiration, where visitors can experience firsthand the quality and craftsmanship that define Kibler & Kirch. “People today are often buying things online without ever seeing or touching them,” Young says. “That’s not how we do things. We want people to come in, sit in a chair, feel the texture of the fabrics, and see the craftsmanship that goes into every piece. It’s about creating a personal connection with the items you bring into your home.”
Kibler & Kirch has always been known for its ability to make spaces feel both personal and timeless. The new Billings store continues this tradition by offering a thoughtfully curated collection that reflects the company’s design philosophy. “We’re not following trends,” says Young. “We believe in timeless design, in pieces that are made to last a lifetime. When you buy something from Kibler & Kirch, it’s something you’ll cherish for years and maybe even pass down to the next generation.”
As Kibler & Kirch embarks on this new chapter, the team is excited to share their passion for design with the Billings community and beyond. The new store is a space where everyone is welcome to explore, find inspiration, and discover pieces that will make their homes more beautiful. “Welcome home,” says Young. “We can’t wait for you to see what we’ve created.”
The Kibler & Kirch store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM. Be sure to visit the new location at 2807 1st Avenue North in downtown Billings. And don’t miss the grand re-opening of Kibler & Kirch Fine Art on December 1st, during the Billings Holiday Stroll and Art Walk!
