Endless Summer Fun: Top Weekend Hits in Billings

School supplies are hitting the store shelves, and more than one retailer in town dares to boldly display fall decor beside the sunscreen and patio furniture. Summer may feel like it’s drawing to a close, but the fun is far from over this weekend in Billings! Take a peek at all the events happening through the end of the month and soak in the rest of what July has to offer.

 

July 25th at 6:00 pm: St John's Summer concert series. Tonight’s event features an Elton John tribute with opener Gavin Russell.

July 26 at 7:00 pm: Blackhawk at The Pub Station. This 90’s country band has sold over 7 million albums, and their distinctive harmonies have produced some of the most recognizable hits on country music radio. Doors open at 7:00, and the show starts at 8:00.

July 26, 27, 28: Big Sky Balloon Rally. This free, family-friendly event is held at Amend Park and is the largest balloon event in Montana. Weather permitting, enjoy the enamoring sights of hot air balloons lifting off into the sky while listening to the sounds of live entertainment on stage. Food trucks, face painting for the kids, and a balloon glow at dusk are also featured.

July 27 at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm: The Goonies. Visit Art House for a free screening of this iconic 80’s classic that follows a group of misfits on an unforgettable adventure. Treasure maps, booby traps, skeletons, and Sloth! Bring the whole family to cool off indoors with some summer nostalgia.

July 27 at 7:00 pm: Live music at Wild Ginger, 2713 Montana Avenue. Local band Texana takes the stage with happy hour at 9:00 pm. Texana is an acoustic duet featuring David Piland and Christina Temple, playing a variety of genres, including 70s classic rock, folk, country, originals, and a little blues. It's family-friendly!

July 30 - August 4: Billings Mustangs Home games. Take the whole family out to the ballgame to cheer on the Billings Mustangs as they play the Glacier Range Riders. Tuesday through Saturday games start at 6:35 pm, while Sunday games begin at 1:05 pm. All home games are played at the beautiful Dehler Park, right next to the Rims and downtown.
