This event represents a major milestone for the Billings-based company, which has long been a cornerstone of the outdoor hospitality industry. The atmosphere was one of pride and accomplishment as attendees celebrated the culmination of years of planning, design, and construction.

The new headquarters, now a LEED Gold Certified building, symbolizes KOA’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and community. The ceremony included speeches from key figures who played crucial roles in the project: KOA President and CEO Toby O’Rourke, A&E Design CEO and Principal Dusty Eaton, U.S. Green Building Council President and CEO Peter Templeton, Billings Mayor Bill Cole, and KOA Inc. Owner and KOAH Board Chair Oscar Tang. They emphasized the building’s importance not only to KOA but also to the entire Billings community. The LEED Gold certification highlights the building’s commitment to environmental efficiency, minimizing its impact on natural resources while fostering a healthier and more productive workplace.

A&E Design, the project’s architects, received the International Interior Design Association's Rocky Mountain Chapter BEST Award in the "workplace" category. Langlas & Associates, the general contractor, was honored with the Excellence Award for best commercial project by the Montana Contractors Association. The National Wildlife Federation also certified the KOA headquarters as a Garden for Wildlife location in the Billings community.

Congratulations are in order for KOA and all the partners, employees, and supporters who played a vital role in realizing this project. Their collective efforts have resulted in a headquarters that not only meets the company’s operational needs but also embodies its mission to connect people to the outdoors and each other. This new space will serve as a hub for innovation and growth, further solidifying KOA’s leadership in the industry for years to come.
