RMC Aviation Camp
  • Rocky Mountain College

  • Grades: Entering 9th-12th
  • Cost: $250 (includes t-shirt)
  • Location: RMC Flight Operations Center (located at Billings Logan International Airport)
  • Parking: 1801 Aviation Place, look for RMC signs
  • Includes a flight in an RMC airplane with a skilled FAA certified Flight Instructor, flight in aircraft simulator, orientation to drones, tours of Air Traffic Control Tower, Charter aircraft company, Billings Airport runways and taxiways. Instruction about aircraft design, flight planning, aerodynamics. The camp is great exposure for any student considering entering the world of professional aviation.
  • Important info: Meal breaks included, campers should bring their own meals the first 2 days, lunch provided the last day.

Montana Learning Center at Canyon Ferry Lake

  • The MLC is a camp like no other, where students are empowered by learning and creating together. Camp life includes STEM immersion experiences, friendship-building, and recreation at Canyon Ferry Lake. Evening options include a traditional campfire or exploring the night sky with our world-class observatory. Our camp staff is composed of certified teachers, many of whom are nationally recognized and have earned prestigious teaching awards. Our staff-to-camper ratio is 1:6 or lower. Each of our instructors and counselors is CPR & First Aid certified.

  • At this 5-day overnight camp, campers engage in STEM activities and recreation. They spend their time exploring the fascinating world of science. Camp Explore the Universe

  • At this overnight camp, campers study the universe with our stat-of-the-art telescopes, including Montana's largest public-use telescope. They learn how to locate objects in the night sky, photograph them, and manipulate astronomical data just like astronomers do.

Camp Extreme Yellowstone Expedition
STEM SCIENCE SUMMER CAMP

  • Grades: 3rd-5th | August 7-11, 8:30am-4pm
  • Location: College of Education Building at MSUB
  • Cost: $250
  • Taught and facilitated by MSUB Assistant Professor of Science Education, Dr. Elaine Westbrook, she will be ably assisted by a secondary science and English education major. Camp will focus in the mornings on water hydraulics through a water pump project. In the afternoons, the focus is on photovoltaic cells activities. On the last day of the camp the children will present their work to families and other interested parties. The activities and instruction will include opportunities for hands-on mathematics, reading and writing embedded in the two projects. It will be a rich educational environment that includes high energy and fun activities.
  • Please send the campers with a sack lunch each day and a little pocket money to get a drink or snack at the Student Union Building.
Dinosaur Camp

  • MLC is partnering with Carter County Museum in Ekalaka for a unique camping experience. This adventure includes 3 days of field expeditions to active paleontological dig sites in the Hell Creek Formation. In addition to fossil digs, campers will tour Carter County Museum, sort material collected in the field, learn the basics of fossil preparation and prepare fossils they gathered at the digs for display in the Museum.
