Montana P.E.O. Announces 103rd Convention in Billings

More than 500 members and guests are expected to attend the 103rd P.E.O. Convention of the Montana State Chapter June 9-11, 2023 at the Double Tree and Northern Hotels.

State President Debbie Hedrick, Chapter BX, Billings, will preside over the meeting.  This year’s theme is Sprinkle with Grace.  Chairperson of this year’s Convention is Anne Marie Kloppel, Chapter AE, Billings, and a former state president from 2016-2017.  She is assisted by Billings’ host Chapters AE, AV, BB, BG, BX, and Chapter CD, Big Timber.  

P.E.O. is a philanthropic educational organization currently celebrating it’s 156th anniversary helping women attain their educational goals.  Since its inception, P.E.O. has given more than $400 million in financial assistance to over 120,000 women in loans, grants, scholarships and special projects. P.E.O. also owns and supports Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri.

In addition to the business meeting, there will be a Time of Remembrance Friday afternoon honoring members who have passed away during the last year. Three chapters will be recognized for 100 years of service: Chapter O, Helena, Chapter P, Livingston, Chapter Q, Great Falls, and Chapter R, Red Lodge. Other honored guests include 32 “Golden Girls” celebrating 50 years of membership and service, as well as a number of 60-year and 70-year members, plus past Montana State Chapter presidents.
