BILLINGS, MT | The road to LIFTT's new location was not without its bumps (and burst pipes). On March 3, 2024 the nonprofit's former location was flooded, halting all operations as the plans toward and into the new building were accelerated. Executive Director Carlos Ramalho acknowledged in a May 6 press release that "Thanks to all our team members, LIFTT could move to a building that had not been remodeled, had no telephone, and had no internet server. Working together, our team transformed a disaster into a success story, and on April 1, 2024, we opened our doors to the public we serve again." 

So, it's fair to say that the grand opening celebration on May 10 holds even greater significance as LIFTT opens the doors of its permanent headquarters to the community. "For many years, we have dreamed of having our building, and our dream has become a reality," said Ramalho. The new building, strategically located for enhanced accessibility and community engagement, also allows for new opportunities for growth in operations and the introduction of new programs. 

Living Independently for Today & Tomorrow will hold the Grand Opening of its new office at 1241 Crawford Drive on Friday, May 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Join in celebrating with the LIFTT team as they mark the beginning of a new chapter in their journey of empowering individuals with disabilities in southeastern and south-central Montana.
