February 2025 Editor's Note: Inspired Living
February 2025
by Stephanie Toews, Executive Editor
Recently, I came across the powerful Instagram post above that stopped my scroll. The wisdom in these words hits home. It’s so easy to rush through overpacked schedules and hurried lives, reacting quickly instead of taking a breath, shifting focus, and giving others the benefit of the doubt. Loving well takes intentionality. It requires laying aside self, offering grace, listening patiently, speaking thoughtfully, driving slowly, and sometimes prioritizing others’ needs above our own. The effort is always worthwhile; it’s how we grow, connect, and build a stronger, kinder community.
This month celebrates love in its many forms, reminding us of the beauty that exists in connection and compassion. We’ll take you on a vibrant journey through three local galleries that are redefining the art experience in Billings. These spaces showcase incredible talent while enriching the cultural heartbeat of our city. You’ll also meet one remarkable woman whose brave “yes” to Dancing with the Big Sky Stars led her to a love of dance and inspired the creation of a performance group that brings people together through movement.
For families, we share thoughtful advice on helping kids navigate their emotions with empathy and patience, fostering stronger bonds and resilience. You’ll also find inspiration for loving where you live, starting right at home. From practical tips to declutter your space and create a sanctuary of peace to soul-warming soup recipes perfect for chilly February days, our Inspired Living issue is brimming with ways to embrace the season with intention. This month is an invitation to find joy in the extraordinary moments of everyday life. Let’s lean into love, creativity, and connection, brightening our homes, hearts, and communities. As we move through the days ahead, let’s strive to leave others a little better than we found them. Step bravely into new ventures and offer more grace and compassion than judgment. Surround yourself with inspiring people who reflect these values, and watch how that positivity spreads.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Love, Your Neighbor,
