Potato Chip-Chocolate Toffee

Salt and Sweet?  Yes please. I think I've found something that will destroy all will-power I've ever had!  Potato Chip-Chocolate Toffee.  These little diet-killers are the perfect combination of sweet, salt chocolate and caramel-toffee. They come together quickly and are the perfect treat for a coffee date or midnight snack!

Are you ready?

Kettle Chips, Butter, Sugar, Vanilla, Vinegar and Chocolate Chips

Foil, cookie sheet and a large sauce pan

Melt butter, add sugar, vanilla and vinegar.

Cook over medium-high heat, until a candy thermometer reads 320° or the toffee mixture is a light amber color.

Remove mixture from heat and immediately stir in potato chips.

Press the potato chip/toffee mixture into a foil-lined cookie sheet; set aside.

Microwave 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips over 50% power, for 30 seconds, stir.  Continue heating until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Drizzle the melted chocolate over the toffee chips, and let harden for 20-30 minutes!

2 sticks unsalted butter, plus more for greasing baking sheet.

5 Cups thick-cut potato chips

1 cup sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 TBSP vinegar (white or apple cider)

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

**for a spicy-sweet treat, add 1/4 tsp of chipotle chili powder**
