Bake This: Cookies for Santa

We all know Santa loves cookies. Here's a fun and easy cookie recipe for Santa and his reindeer that all kids will want to make. These cookies will be Santa's NEW favorite! 

Ingredients: 

For the cake 

  • 2/3 Cup Butter Flavor Crisco 
  • ¾ Cup sugar 
  • 1 Tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon milk 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla 
  • 1 egg 
  • 2 Cups all-purpose flour 
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder 
  • ¼ teaspoon salt 
  • Clear half dome 
Directions:  
  1. Cream the Butter Flavor Crisco, sugar, milk, and vanilla at medium speed until well blended. Beat in egg. 
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix into creamed mixture. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. 
  3. Preheat oven to 375 F. 
  4. Roll out dough between parchment paper with a rolling pin, then cut dough with a round cookie cutter as big as the clear dome's base. Place dough on an ungreased baking sheet. 
  5. Bake at 375 F for 5 to 8 minutes.  Always test-bake a cookie to see how many minutes it’ll take. Cool on a baking sheet for 2 minutes. 
  6. Spread frosting on the flat side of the cookie using your favorite buttercream frosting recipe or a store-bought frosting. Place miniature Christmas decorations and cover the cookie with the clear dome.
