Ingredients:
For the cake
- 2/3 Cup Butter Flavor Crisco
- ¾ Cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 Cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Clear half dome
Directions:
- Cream the Butter Flavor Crisco, sugar, milk, and vanilla at medium speed until well blended. Beat in egg.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix into creamed mixture. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- Roll out dough between parchment paper with a rolling pin, then cut dough with a round cookie cutter as big as the clear dome's base. Place dough on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 375 F for 5 to 8 minutes. Always test-bake a cookie to see how many minutes it’ll take. Cool on a baking sheet for 2 minutes.
- Spread frosting on the flat side of the cookie using your favorite buttercream frosting recipe or a store-bought frosting. Place miniature Christmas decorations and cover the cookie with the clear dome.
