Though Yellowstone County's 2022 Relay For Life won't be circling the track until July 8, the local American Cancer Society of Yellowstone County is kicking off the Relay For Life season on Friday, March 18. This family-friendly event, held at the Pub Station (2502 1st Avenue North, Billings), from 5-9pm will highlight the plans for the coming Relay season, while taking the opportunity to celebrate the participants, teams, and sponsors that make Yellowstone Relay a success each year.
“The past two years were filled with innovation, resilience, and incredible leadership. We’re hoping to follow in those footsteps and bring back the full in-person event our community knows and loves at the West High Track. I’m excited for this year’s theme, vision, and energy, and I think our survivors, teams, and community will love it too,” says Justin Hutchinson, Yellowstone Relay For Life Event Co-chair.
At the kick-off party, food will be provided, courtesy of Tiny’s Catering, and Jess Allestad will take the stage at 7:30pm. Live music is sponsored by Pie Guys Pizzeria. Additional activities include Heads or Tails, cake walk, interactive art piece, photo booth, and raffle baskets.
Last year, Yellowstone Relay For Life placed third in the world among Relay For Life events after contributing more than $560,000 to the fight against cancer. Funds raised allow the American Cancer Society to invest in groundbreaking research and support cancer survivors on the national and local levels. Within the last year, four grants were provided to our local hospitals to help cancer patients with expenses related to travel and housing.
Join Yellowstone Relay For Life teams, survivors, and volunteers for a fun night of conversation, reflection, and celebration and kick off the 2022 Yellowstone Relay For Life season.
