Operation Supply 2022 Aims to Support Students All Year

With back to school looming, United Way of Yellowstone County is gearing up for its annual Operation Supply school supply drive. The purpose: to collect school supplies and hygiene items in an effort to combat some of the obstacles that can keep a child from learning. Drives are being held in Billings and Laurel to benefit students and schools in both communities. Let's consider this a call to action for local businesses and individuals alike.
The UWYC's supply drive is unique in that it aims to collect supplies for schools to access all year long. Sure, kids need supplies to get their school year started, but if you have kids (or ever were a kid), you know that what you start with absolutely does not see you all the way through. The sheer volume of pencils students go through...But we digress. Ensuring that students have the tools they need removes that barrier and increases the odds for success because it's not only about having the "right tools for the job," but it's also about lessening the stress.

- Dry Erasers Markers (Black, blue, green, red, purple)
- Highlighters
- Elmers Glue Sticks
- Crayola Washable Colored Wide Tip Markers (Classic Colors 8 count)
- Crayola Watercolor Paints with Brushes
- Elmers Liquid Bottles of Glue
- #2 Pencils
- Spiral Notebooks (Single Subject- College & Wide Ruled)
- Loose Leaf Paper (College & Wide-Ruled)
- Crayola Box of 12 or 24 Colored Pencils
- Composition Notebook (College & Wide Ruled)
- Ziploc Bags (quart and gallon)
- 2 Pocket Folders (Various plain colors)
- Pink Erasers
- We currently do not need any backpacks

- Individual not family packs
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Box of Tissues
- Hand Sanitizer
