Billings Public Library Hosts Author Melissa Fay Greene via Zoom

Billings Public Library will host an online program, Meet Melissa Fay Greene, Author of The Underdogs, on Thursday, July 22nd at 5:00 pm. Greene will offer a presentation about her book, followed by a Q&A. The program will be offered via Zoom and is free upon registering for the event. Participants must have an email address and access to the internet to attend.  

Two-time National Book Award nominee Melissa Fay Greene has written "a profound and surprising account of dogs on the front lines of rescuing both children and adults from the trenches of grief, emotional, physical, and cognitive disability, and post-traumatic stress disorder." The Underdogs follows Karen Shirk, whose own experiences training Ben, a German Shepherd puppy who dragged her back to life after a neuromuscular disease left her immobile and ventilator-dependent, led her to found 4 Paws for Ability. This organization has helped thousands of children and families with their highly trained service dogs.
