Garlic and White Cheddar Baked Mashed Potatoes

Garlic and White Cheddar Baked Mashed Potatoes

8-10 medium sized potatoes peeled

5-6 fresh cloves garlic peeled

2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese

1/2 cup milk

3 tbls butter

1/4 cup cream cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Boil potatoes and garlic cloves until potatoes are fork tender.

Mash potatoes fold in milk, butter and cream cheese. Whip until smooth with hand beater. Salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer 2/3 potatoes to baking dish, spread layer of cheese on top. Add remaining 1/3 of potatoes.

Create peaks in potatoes with a fork and sprinkle a small amount of left over cheese on top.

Bake uncovered in a 425 degree oven for half hour. Serve immediately
